Senior Technical Operations
member of staff on Sky News and Sports programmes, broadcast from any
one of nine Sky TV Studios in London. Responsible for
cutting-edge broadcast technology, including delivering the first High
Definition live programmes to be transmitted from studios in the
UK. Recognised "super-user" expert and trainer for Sky Studios'
new Media Asset Management system.

Various engagements for BBC Television News, ITV Central News and Oxford Brookes University.
1988-Dec 2005 Operations Supervisor, ITV Central (Central News South)
Supervised and managed the technical resources (staff and equipment) for the production of “Central News” in the South Midlands region. Active role in the operation of technical equipment in both Studio and Outside Broadcast. Assessed and implemented new technology and working practices. Ensured ITV's Health & Safety Policy is followed in Studio premises and on location. Appraised technical staff and planned suitable training programmes.

Started my TV career at BBC TV Centre Studios. Promoted to Senior Engineer after two years and moved to News and Current Affairs Centre. Gained extensive experience of News OBs and Radio Links, and attended many training courses run by BBC and manufacturers.
